Watchung Maternity Photography Somerville New Jersey: Viva Brasil

Watchung Maternity Photography Somerville New Jersey: Viva Brasil!

What does a baker and a photographer have in common? At first thought, you would not think of this one. But they have a lot in common. The baker’s mother has worked with the maternity photographer, you say? Yes, that is indeed true. But that’s not it. They are both really talented? Ahem, that was a shameless plug for Avnida Photography. A girl has to do what she has to do for herself, ya know.

I think the similarity is that they both feed our senses. The baker feeds the senses of smell and taste, while the photographer feeds the visual senses and fills the heart with love. Combine them together, and what do you get?

An Awesome Watchung Maternity Photography Somerville New Jersey Session!

Gabi was amazing. She was style, grace and finesse wrapped together in a beautiful soul. As a baker, my dear Gabi, you will never hear your clients tell you this but don’t cut down the sweetness in your smile and words.

By the way, here’s something really cool in relation to Watchung:

Most of us know about the grandeur and opulence of the castles of Europe. Few of us, however, are aware that, right in Watchung, a great castle once stood. It was one of a number of prominent castles built in New Jersey around the turn of the twentieth century. Originally located in the Watchung neighborhood now known as “Castle Tract,” Moldenke Castle was built around 1900 by Richard George Gottlub Moldenke, who named it Castle Elsinore for his mother, Elise. The Moldenkes of Watchung were an accomplished family. The grandfather, Edouard Friedrich Moldehnke, was a Lutheran missionary from East Prussia. He eventually became pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in New York City. Moldenke’s father, Charles Edward Moldenke was a renowned Egyptologist. In 1935, Richard’s brother, Harold, republished Charles’ The New York Obelisk, a translation of the hieroglyphics on Cleopatra’s Needle – the obelisk behind the Metropolitan Museum in New York City.
