Baby Pictures: Is there anything cuter?

2011. The year I left my career in computer programming to pursue my passion. Photography! The joy of capturing moments to preserve them for eternity. To create memories that we can look back at, and enjoy. A family gathering around the fireplace. Flipping through the photo album (ok, iPad, happy?). Adults giggling about their baby pictures. Parents looking at the same baby pictures and remembering the joy of early parenthood. Isn’t that wonderful?

Ansel Adams, the famous photographer and environmentalist, once said the following about how one creates a photograph, “You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”

Hi, my name is Harshita, from Avnida Photography. I specialize in taking maternity pictures, birth pictures, newborn pictures, toddler pictures and family pictures. I love finding the right combination of a tutu skirt or a cape, the perfect lighting and backdrops to make the moment come alive. My studio is full of hats and caps, colorful ties for the junior, tutu skirts for the princess, and backdrops that just make you go “ooh” and “aah”. Baby photography, like other forms of photography, is about creating a visual experience that’s delightful, and while the cute cheeks and smiles help, a dash of beautiful surroundings add color to the mix.
