First birthday cake smash. The sentence that drives joy in my heart. What’s not to love. Kid sees cake. Kid smiles. Cake is smashed. Frosting everywhere. On the face and the clothes. Yes, some of it goes in the tummy. Crawling or walking around with hands covered in cream or frosting. Yippeee or Yikes! Two expressions that I and the parents give out. Some times both of them come out. Why? Yipppeee because I now have the picture perfect moment to capture. Yikes in case the hands are on mom’s purse or dad’s pants. All in a day’s work for a cute one-year old.
